# Why Won't J.W. Speaker Warranty a Product I Bought on Amazon or eBay?
## Only Buy from Authorized Dealers — Amazon and eBay Purchases Are Not Warranted
J.W. Speaker products sold through unauthorized channels (including Amazon and eBay) may be counterfeit or unauthorized re-sales.
**Here is how to verify your product is genuine:**
Check Where You Bought It: Genuine J.W. Speaker products are sold only through jwspeaker.com and the official authorized dealer network. If you purchased from Amazon, eBay, or an unrecognized online retailer, the product may not be authentic.
**Check the Lens Markings:**
Genuine J.W. Speaker DOT-compliant headlights have DOT compliance information etched directly into the lens surface. This marking cannot easily be replicated on counterfeit products. Check Packaging and Documentation: Genuine products include a warranty card, installation instructions, and are packaged with J.W. Speaker branding.
**Check the Part Number:**
Compare the part number on the box and on the product label to the official part numbers listed on jwspeaker.com for that model.
**If You Suspect a Counterfeit:**
Contact J.W. Speaker directly with photos of the product, packaging, and any documentation. Do not attempt to install or use a product you believe may be counterfeit.
