What Is Dual Burn® Technology?

Low Beam + High Beam Together for Maximum Road Coverage and Distance

If you've ever switched to high beam and felt like something was missing on the sides of the road — there's a reason for that. Standard headlights shut off the low beam entirely when you activate high beam, trading wide road coverage for a single powerful punch of light straight ahead.

Dual Burn® fixes that.

How It Works

When you switch to high beam on a Dual Burn® headlight, both the low beam and high beam operate at the same time.

Standard Headlight Dual Burn® Headlight
Low beam on? ❌ Switches off ✅ Stays on
High beam on? ✅ On ✅ On
Road width coverage Reduced Full
Long-distance visibility ✅ Yes ✅ Yes
Total light output Standard ~10% more than standard high beam

What Does That Mean in the Real World?

Think of it this way — with a standard headlight on high beam, you can see far ahead but lose visibility on the edges of the road. With Dual Burn, you get:

  • 👁️ Wide coverage — the sides of the road, shoulders, and nearby obstacles stay illuminated
  • 🔦 Long-distance punch — you can still see far ahead where you're going
  • 💡 ~10% more total effective light output — simply more light, all around

This matters most when you need it most:

  • 🌲 Rural roads and highways with no street lighting
  • 🪨 Off-road trails where obstacles can appear from any direction
  • 🌧️ Bad weather where maximum visibility is a safety essential
