Step-by-Step Overview
Step 1 — Identify Your Headlight Type
Check whether your 2017 JK has factory halogen or factory LED headlights. If you have factory LEDs, proceed with the mounting ring kit steps below.
Step 2 — Install the Mounting Ring Kit
- Remove the factory headlight grille
- Install the J.W. Speaker mounting ring on each side
- Secure with the included hardware
Step 3 — Connect the 8700 J2 Headlights
- Plug the 8700 J2 into the factory H13 connector — press firmly until you hear a click
- Seat the headlight into the mounting ring
- Reinstall the grille
